Since we know you are probably chomping at the bit to start exploring the wonders of Soapbox Engage, here are a few things you can do to get ready:
Do your homework Think about what drew you to Soapbox Engage in the first place. Was it being able to create stunning donations pages, collect RSVPs for your next event, provide a searchable membership directory to your constituents, or inspire action for your cause via a petition form? Make a list of all the pages and forms you want to get up and running, then start collecting the content, videos, images, and more that you’ll need to make your call to action compelling.
Setup your payment gateway Soapbox Engage allows you to link your donations and ticket sales to the following payment processors: PayPal’s Payflow Pro, PayPal Standard, and Authorize.net. If you don’t have an account with one of these merchants already, you should set one up now. Be sure to compare the transaction fees for each of these merchants and take advantage of non-profit discounts. Take solace in the fact that there are no additional transaction fees for Soapbox Engage, unlike some other solutions (we’re not naming any names). We don’t think you should be penalized for running a successful campaign! No additional transaction fees means more funds for making the world a better place.
Get fired up! Soon you will be able to witness the magic of bringing a web front-end to your Salesforce data—no more manual data entry! You’ll see that Salesforce and your website is truly a match made in the cloud.
Spread the word! Do you know another non-profit that could benefit from these tools? Let us know, or better yet, point them to www.soapboxengage.com to sign up for more information.
