For Non-Profit Soapbox clients, we'll install J!Salesforce on your site.  For others getting started, you’ll need to install the J!Salesforce package (zip file) using the Joomla administrator’s Extension Manager.

1) You can access the Extension Manager in the administrator under Extensions > Install/Uninstall menu option. The J!Salesforce package can be uploaded from your local machine (Upload Package File option), or installing it from a directory on your Web server (Install from Directory option).

After clicking the “Upload File & Install” button, a message should appear saying "Install Component Success", as well as a listing of the four extensions, JSFSearch, Usermeta, Jsalesforce, and Jsfuser, that have been installed.

Additionally, there will be two messages regarding template overrides, which will be discussed in the important note below.

Important Note

The page you see after you’ve run the installation will contain the notes mentioned above. It will also contain two notes about templates. If there are no template overrides already on your site, J!Salesforce will install two template overrides, one for the Registration form and one for the User Details form.

If you see the following messages, then your templates have been modified properly and you can continue with the configuration of J!Salesforce.

Registration template installed!
User details template installed!

If you see the following messages, then you will have to edit the files listed below. In each file, you will have to add a line of code with “{UserMeta}” inside the body of the form, in the location where you want the J!Salesforce fields to appear.

A registration template override already exists at
/templates/[TemplateName]/html/com_user/register. Please update this manually.
