How can I move existing recurring payments in a gateway to Soapbox Engage?

In order to provide you more flexibility in moving between online engagement services, we've decoupled Soapbox Engage from the actual recurring payment process itself.  We do this by creating recurring payments directly within your payment gateway, rather than within Soapbox Engage.

If your existing payment gateway is hosting your scheduled recurring payments, you do not need to ask your donors to provide you their credit card information again in moving to Soapbox Engage.

If your existing payment gateway is not hosting your scheduled recurring payments, you will need to ask your donors to provide you their credit card information again in order to continue these recurring payments when using Soapbox Engage.  This is because your departing online payment collection app is likely the place doing the actual scheduling of the payments.
