I've lost the password to my Soapbox administrator account. How can I recover it?

created

It's never fun to realize you have forgotten a password - or that what you thought was your password apparently isn't.

Fortunately, it's possible to reset your password with Soapbox's password recovery feature.

You can find that at http://YOURDOMAIN.ORG/component/user/reset where YOURDOMAIN.ORG is substituted for your site’s domain name.

You will be asked to enter your email address.  A confirmation email will be sent to your email address with a confirmation code and a link.  Follow the link, and enter the code.  A new temporary password will then be emailed to you.  You may use that password to log in, and then change the password if you desire.

Are you a new administrator?  You can have a current site admin at your organization create an account for you.  If there is no one at your organization to create an account for you, this article will help you understand the steps for acquiring access: How can I gain access to my Soapbox Engage account if I am a new administrator?
