Boost recurring donations this giving season with the new upsell prompt!A variety of options are available to you to control the submission, moderation and display of comments and ratings on the site. To adust these:
- Go to Components > Comments
- Click Options in the upper right
- In the popup window under System Setup Options on the System tab, for Enable Comments, select Yes to enable or No to disable
- For Enable Guest Comments, select Yes or No to determine whether end users who have not logged in to your site should be able to comment on content
- For Enable Comment Feeds, select Yes or No to display a link to an RSS feed for comments on an article
- For Enable Rating, select Yes or No to show or hide the star rating functionality
- For Enable Social Bookmarks, select Yes or No to show or hide links for end users to share a given page on their preferred social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, or delicious.
- Click Save
Content Submission Options
Under Comment Submission Options:
- For Show Form, select Yes or No to show the comment form by default or hide the form and the user is required to click to display it. The Soapbox default is Yes.
- For Enable Subject Field, select Yes or No to show or hide a subject field in the form for posting a comment. The Soapbox default is Yes.
- For Enable Web Site Field, select Yes or No to show or hide a web site field in the form for posting a comment. The Soapbox default is Yes.
- For Enable HTML, select Yes or No to allow or not allow comments to be posted with HTML code. The Soapbox default is Yes.
- For Enable BBCode, select Yes or No to allow or not allow comments to be posted with BB code. The Soapbox default is Yes.
- For Enable Smiley Palette, select Yes or No to allow or not allow comments to be posted with emoticons. The Soapbox default is Yes.
Content Moderation Options
Under Comment Moderation Options:
- For Comment Moderation, select No, Only Guests, or Anyone to control which users will require approval of a moderator before having their comments appear on the site. The Soapbox defalut is anyone.
- For Enable Notification, select No, Only Guests, or Anyone to set whether to send an email when new comments are posted
- For Notification Email Address, enter a valid email address to use when notifying a moderator that a new comment has been posted
Content Submission Options
Under Comments Display Options:
- For Show User As, select Name or Login Name to determine which should identify them as the source for a comment
- For Enable Gravatar, select Yes or No to allow or not allow the display of avatars via the supplied email if registered at gravatar.com
- For Comments Per Page, select the number of comments to display per page
- For Date Format, select the desired format to use in display the comment date. The Soapbox default is System Default.
- For Rating Stars, select the color for the select number of stars an end user rates an item
