Assigning Taxonomy Terms to content in the administrator

Taxonomy Terms can be assigned to articles in the Soapbox CMS, events and classes in the Events app, Classes in the Classes app, locations in Soapbox Mapper, and products in the Shop app. The process for assigning them to each is the same once the item has been opened for editing.

Assigning Terms to an Article

  • Go to Content > Article Manager
  • Locate the article to which you wish to assign the term(s)
  • Click on the article title to edit it
  • Click the Terms section header to expand it
  • In the expanded Terms module, check the boxes next to the terms you wish to assign to this article
  • Click Save or Apply in the upper right

Assigning Terms to an Event and Class in Events app

  • Go to the Events Manager
  • Locate the event to which you wish to assign the term(s)
  • Click on the event title to open it
  • Click the Edit tab
  • Click the Terms section header to expand it
  • In the expanded Terms module, check the boxes next to the terms you wish to assign to this event
  • Click Save or Apply in the upper right

Assigning Terms to a Product in the Shop app

  • Go to the Shop Products Manager
  • Locate the product to which you wish to assign the term(s)
  • Click on the product title to open it
  • Click the Terms section header to expand it
  • In the expanded Terms module, check the boxes next to the terms you wish to assign to this product
  • Click Save or Apply in the upper right

Assigning Terms to a Location in Soapbox Mapper

  • Go to Components > Soapbox Mapper > Locations
  • Locate the location to which you wish to assign the term(s)
  • Click on the location title to edit it
  • Click the Terms section header to expand it
  • In the expanded Terms module, check the boxes next to the terms you wish to assign to this location
  • Click Save or Apply in the upper right
