Beyond having individuals sign you petition through the front end of Soapbox, you can manually add supporter records in the administrator. This is useful if you have other means of collecting signatures for a given petition, such as in-person paper signatures or text signatures, and wish to have these supporters reflected in the progress count on your Soapbox petition.
It is important to note that supporters added manually in the Soapbox administrator are not added to Salesforce.
To create Supporter records in Soapbox:
- In the Soapbox administrator, go the Petitions > Supporters
- Click New
- For Form, select the petition they are supporting
- For the balance of the fields, enter appropriate information regarding the supporter and whether their signature should be displayed online.
- Click Save
