Customizing the duplicate signer validation message for a Petition

In the Petitions app, a visitor is able to sign an individual petition once. This is enforced based on their email address. Should they attempt to submit a petition using the email address of an existing supporter, they will be prevented from doing so with the following default message displayed:

You can sign this petition only once.

if you wish, you may customize this message. To do so:

• Open the Configuration for the Petitions app
• On the Configuration tab, for Duplicate Signer Message, enter the text you wish to appear to the front-end visitor
• Click Save
