Why does a published Directories app search view only show an "The Salesforce search form you are trying to view is unpublished." error?



When viewing a Soapbox Engage Directories app search view, you might receive the following error:

The Salesforce search form you are trying to view is unpublished. Please make sure this form is published and try again.


The common cause of this error is the use of a non-custom URL path, such as "/component/jsfsearch/search/1".  To solve this issue, please take the following steps.

  1. Login to the Soapbox Engage administrator
  2. Go to Directories and open the directory in question
  3. Under Info tab > Details section > URL option, click the Customize URL button
  4. In the Edit Page Link modal, for the Page Link provide a URL ending, and for the Page Title, give the page a title, and click the Save button
  5. Click the Save button to save the directory's updates
