With the Actions app, you can create public comment targets which can be included in an Action so that letters from supporters are sent directly to a federal agency in response to a document listed on Regulatory.gov for public comment.
To create a Public Comment Target:
- Open the Public Comment Target view in Soapbox
- Click New
- For Document Id, enter the Id of the document as listed on Regulatory.gov. If you wish, you may click the Lookup at Regulations.gov hyperlink next to this parameter. From there, you can search for the document to which you wish to direct comments.
- For Title, enter the name of the document from Regulatory.gov
- For Agency, enter the name of the agency posting the document on Regulatory.gov
- For Comment State Date, enter the date from which comments may be submitted according to Regulatory.gov
- For Comment Due Date, enter the final date on which comments may be submitted according to Regulatory.gov
- For Published, select Yes, if you wish this Public Comment Target to be available for selection in an Action
- Click Save
