If you receive the error message setup under Form > Options > Submission messages when submitting a Form, and you also have State/Country Picklists enabled in Salesforce, here's how to troubleshoot:
- Review the Salesforce Form elements and select the State Code and Country Code fields from Salesforce rather than the State and Country fields
- Exclude whatever picklist values you don't want from the list that appears in the Add/Edit Salesforce Element popup
Items to Note When Enabling Country Codes
- Country Code needs to be included as a field and it must be required though it can be hidden. This is because Salesforce needs the Country field populated in order to populate the State / Province field
- The State Code drop down in Soapbox is not dependent on the Country Code field. In other words, if you select Canada in the Country Code drop down, it won't restrict the State / Province drop down to only show Canadian provinces
- You can edit to show only U.S. States in the State Code drop down and set the Country Code field to "United States" as the Default Value with the field hidden
- You can show the Country Code field and allow the front-end user to select their Country but the front-end user will need to select their State/Province from the full list
