Displaying thank you pages to supporters or setting redirects with the Actions app

With the Actions app, you have the ability to customize a thank you page that appears after the Action is taken or to redirect the supporter to another page of your choice.

To define what is displayed after an Action is successfully submitted:

  • Open the Action app page you wish to customize
  • Click the Post-Action tab
  • In the Redirect After Action section, for Redirect Option, select one of the following
    • Thank You Page: This is the default and most common option. Use this to display the text defined in the Page Content editor window below
      • If you select Thank You Page, enter the page content you wish to appear after successful submission of the Action in the Page Content parameter. If you wish to display the contact information for the target(s) of the messages the supporter sent, use the {targets} merge field.
    • Custom Link: Use this option to redirect the supporter to another URL of your choice
      • If you select Custom Link, enter the full URL that you wish to redirect the supporter to after successful submission in the Custom Link parameter
    • Article: This is the least common. Use this to display the text of an article in the Content app, if your Soapbox Engage instance has access to the Content app. If you choose this option, use the Select Article parameter to choose which article you wish to display.
  • Click Save
