Boost recurring donations this giving season with the upsell prompt!The Auctions tab gives your team on the floor a live read on the auction they are working — how many bidders are registered, how many items are in play, and how much has been pledged in the paddle raise — without anyone opening a laptop.
To open an auction:
- Tap Auctions in the app.
- Tap the auction you are working.
The list shows every auction whose Status is Open and that has both a Start and an End, in three groups:
- Active Now: auctions between their Start and End, marked LIVE.
- Upcoming Auctions: auctions that have not started, with when they start.
- Ended: auctions past their End that are still Open, with when they ended.
Start and End are read in the auction's own time zone. Tap View all in a group to see everything in it, and Show less to collapse it again.
Note: An auction stays in the app after its End until its Status is changed from Open, so your team can keep working if the evening runs long. To take an auction out of the app, set its Status to Closed or Hidden. See Creating and managing an Auction.
The statistics
The auction screen shows three figures:

| Raised | Paddle raise pledges recorded so far, not counting any held for review as possible duplicates. Payments collected at checkout are not included. See the auction's Checkouts tab for what has been paid. |
They are useful mid-event as much as at the end — a bidder count that has stopped moving while guests are still arriving usually means the registration desk needs another pair of hands.
Note: Pull down on the screen to refresh the figures.
What your team can do from here
- Manage Bidders — register bidders, assign numbers, and save cards. See Registering and managing bidders from the floor.
- Paddle Raise Spotter Mode — capture commitments during a paddle raise. See Capturing paddle raise commitments in Spotter Mode.
Both options are offered for any auction in the list, whether it is live, upcoming or ended.
What the app does not do
Bidding itself happens on your bidder-facing auction site, not in Soapbox Engage Onsite. The app is for the people running the room, not the people bidding in it.
Settling winners' balances happens on the auction's Checkouts tab in the administrator.
