Soapbox Update: Updates to Soapbox Donations to capture new data

updated

We're pleased to announce an upgrade to Soapbox Donations that allows you to capture more details from the transaction in Salesforce; specifically, the expiration month and year and last four digits of the donor's credit card. In addition, a new field has been added to capture the Subscription Id for recurring donations that is separate from the Transaction Id field which is currently representing both regardless of the type of donation.

To begin capturing this data, you must upgrade to the Soapbox Engage QuickStart for Salesforce v1.6 package. To do so, follow the instructions in this Knowledge Base article. Once the installation of the upgrade package has been complete and the new fields mapped from the Lead to the Opportunity object, you'll begin receiving this new data. And importantly - especially on this #GivingTuesday! - your Soapbox Donations app will continue to work as normal until you upgrade to Soapbox Engage QuickStart for Salesforce v1.6 as well!

Automated Salesforce Lead record creation for recurring payments coming to Soapbox Donations!

As helpful as the addition of these new fields is, this update to Soapbox is even more significant. It is the first critical step in adding functionality we've been hard at work on for awhile: the ability for Soapbox to create Leads in Salesforce for recurring donation payments automatically processed by your merchant.

Within the next few weeks, we will be rolling out this functionality for sites using Authorize.net, Braintree, and PayPal Website Payments Pro. In order to have automated payments create Leads in your Salesforce account, you will need to have upgraded to Soapbox Engage QuickStart for Salesforce v1.6.

Look for an announcement in the coming weeks with further details!

And happy #GivingTuesday!
