Defining display text of a Salesforce Element of type URL field

updated

If you include a Salesforce field of type URL in a Directories page, you can define the hyperlink displayed to the visitor so the full link (e.g., http://www.google.com) can be replaced with the text you define (e.g., Google) :

  • Go to Components > Salesforce Dashboard > Directories
  • Click Form Manager
  • Open the form containing the field you wish to define
  • Click the List Display or Record Display tab, depending on where the Salesforce Element has been added
  • Click the Edit Element icon for the Salesforce Element - or click Add Salesforce Element, if the element does not exist yet
