When creating a Directories page, you have the option of showing the search form to your site visitors so they can enter their own search criteria or hiding this form to display results of the search criteria you define in the administrator.
If you are displaying the search form, you have the option of showing or hiding both a Reset button and a Start Over button as well as customizing the text that appears for these buttons.
Reset v. Start Over functionality
The Reset and Start Over buttons are similar in name but do quite different things. The Reset button will revert any changes the visitor has made to the fields in the search form since last opening the page. So, if they had searched for "Someorg" as the value of an Organization field earlier and then replaced it with "Someotherorg", if they click Reset, the form will revert to "Someorg".
The Start Over button reverts the values of the search form to the original values you defined as an administrator. It then will automatically run the search query again and display those original results.
Customizing the Reset and Start Over buttons
You have the ability to customize customize the text appearing in the Reset and Start Over buttons, and to show or hide the buttons on the search form. By default, each will be displayed.
