Arranging Salesforce data with View Positions when using Blog Format

updated

jsf-search-sf-element-popup-thumb.pngWhen displaying data from your Salesforce account in a Directories page using the Blog Format, you have several options for arranging the data on the List Display which displays the initial results and the Record Display which shows the full detail of a single Salesforce record. These options, or View Positions, are set in the Add Salesforce Element popup when you add or edit Salesforce fields

There are four View Positions available on the List Display and nine positions on the Record Display. The arrangement of these View Positions can be seen by clicking the following example images. Depending on your browser, you may need to click on the image after it opens in the new window to view it at its full size.

Attributes of View Positions

The following is a list of the View Positions available on a Directories page, as shown in the examples. All View Positions are available on the Record Display. Only the first four are available on the List Display. The placement of the field label in relation to the data and the placement of multiple Salesforce elements in relation to each other is specific to individual View Positions. These and other relevant attributes of the View Positions are as follows:

  • Title: Available on both List Display and Record Display; multiple fields display horizontally from left to right with the hyperlink for the title applied to all fields and labels within the View Position; labels appear to the left of the field data
  • Subtitle: Available on both List Display and Record Display; multiple fields display horizontally from left to right; label appears to the left of the field data
  • Meta: Available on both List Display and Record Display; multiple fields display vertically from top to bottom; label appears to the left of the field data
