In the rare instances when Salesforce is temporarily unavailable or a Salesforce instance has reached its maximum number of API calls for a 24-hour period, you can customize a message to appear to a visitor when attempting to access the given Directory.
To do so for an individual Directories form:
- Navigate to the Directories Manager
- Click Form Manager
- Open the form for which you wish to customize the messages
- Go to the Options tab
- Scroll down to the Salesforce Connection Error Message section
- Enter your desired message in the API Limit Reached parameter
- Enter your desired message in the No Salesforce Connection Available parameter
- Click Save
You may also set a default for the entire app by doing the following:
- Navigate to the Directories Manager
- Click Configuration
- n the popup, enter your desired message in the API Limit Reached parameter
- Enter your desired message in the No Salesforce Connection Available parameter
- Click Save
