updated

In the rare instances when Salesforce is temporarily unavailable or a Salesforce instance has reached its maximum number of API calls for a 24-hour period, you can customize a message to appear to a visitor when attempting to access the given Directory.

To do so for an individual Directories form:

  • Navigate to the Directories Manager
  • Click Form Manager
  • Open the form for which you wish to customize the messages
  • Go to the Options tab
  • Scroll down to the Salesforce Connection Error Message section
  • Enter your desired message in the API Limit Reached parameter
  • Enter your desired message in the No Salesforce Connection Available parameter
  • Click Save

You may also set a default for the entire app by doing the following:

  • Navigate to the Directories Manager
  • Click Configuration
  • n the popup, enter your desired message in the API Limit Reached parameter
  • Enter your desired message in the No Salesforce Connection Available parameter
  • Click Save
