Using the Upcoming Events RSS feed to display a list of upcoming events

updated

For the Upcoming Events view on your Soapbox Engage site, an RSS feed is published by Soapbox that allows you to consume and display that list of upcoming events using a feed reader of your choice.

You can access the RSS feed URL for your standard Upcoming Events by appending ?format=feed&type=rss to it, as seen here:

https://<<your_prefix>>.secure.nonprofitsoapbox.com/upcoming-events?format=feed&type=rss

The natural order of the RSS feed is set to chronological order so the soonest scheduled event will appear first followed by the next and so on.

If you are working with a service which allows you to target individual parameters in the RSS feed and you wish to do so with the start date and time of the events in the feed, you can do so by using the time parameter. It renders in the following format:

When: <time datetime=“Thu, 24 Mar 2016 05:00:00 GMT” data-event-time-type=“start">Thursday, March 24, 2016 (10:00AM - 11:30AM)
