Soapbox Mailer can use the Salesforce Documents system, an Amazon S3 account, your own website, or any other service that hosts your images to allow your images to be displayed in your emails. Here are a few ways you can add images to your emails.
Using the Salesforce Documents tab
This option will be most convenient, though you'll need to be mindful of your data storage limit with Salesforce.
- In the Soapbox Mailer app, click on the Documents tab at the top of the screen
- On the Documents tab page, under the Recent Documents section, click the New button
- On the Upload New Document page, fill out the form, making sure that the Externally Available Image checkbox is checked, the folder selected is Soapbox Mailer Images, and that you upload your image using the File to Upload option
- Click the Save button
- On your newly created Document screen, right-click on your image and copy the URL of the imag
- Go back to your Soapbox Mailer campaign record, and click the Edit HTML Body button, and place your cursor where you'd like your image to be inserted
- Click the Image button in the top row of the WYSIWYG editor
- In the Image Properties popup window, paste the URL of your image into the URL box, and fill out any other image fields you wish
- Click the OK button
If you'd prefer to organize your Documents into folders, you may create new folders from the Document Folders section of the main Documents tab. Just click the Create New Folder link!
Amazon S3
This option is most scalable and best in terms of overall performance due to Amazon's low cost for storage and network of robust services. Amazon S3's cloud storage is available to you through the same Simple Email Service (SES) account created for Soapbox Mailer.
