Can I customize my own naming conventions for Donation records using NPSP Opportunity Names?

updated

By default, Soapbox uses its own naming convention when creating Opportunity (aka Donation) records for donations. Those are:

  • [Donor Name] - MM/DD/YYYY - Donation
  • [Donor Name] - MM/DD/YYYY - Recurring Donation
  • [Donor Name] - MM/DD/YYYY - Recurring Donation Payment

For Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) users, you can override these naming conventions by creating Opportunity Names. This can be done in NPSP Settings > Donations > Opportunity Names. You can create any number of naming conventions, allowing you to create individual ones for each of the Soapbox record types so one-time, initial recurring, and subsequent recurring payments are named differently.
