With a peer-to-peer campaign whose Donation page integrates with Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement, you have the option of allowing Fundraisers to select a Designation from Microsoft with which to associate donations made through their Fundraising Page.
This selection can be made from a set of Designation records you choose to include as options. It can also include the ability for a Fundraiser to select an Other option and provide text detailing what designation they would prefer to use.
To allow Fundraisers to select a Designation for their Fundraising Page:
- Open the Soapbox Donation form for the peer-to-peer campaign for which you wish to allow the selection of a Designation from Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement
- Click the Integration tab
- In the Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement section, click Select next to Peer-to-Peer Designations
- In the Peer-to-Peer Designations popup, tick the checkboxes next to each Designation from Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement that you would like Fundraisers to select from. These options will appear in a drop down on the add/edit Fundraising Page view for the Fundraiser to select from.
- If you wish to allow the Fundraiser to select Other as a Designation option and enter their own text, click Select next to Peer-to-Peer Other Designation
- In the Peer-to-Peer Other Designation popup, tick the checkbox next to the Designation from Microsoft Fundraising and Engagement that you wish to associate donations made through any Fundraising Page where the Fundraiser has selected Other. Selecting a value here will allow the Fundraiser to choose Other from the Designation drop down on the add/edit Fundraising Page view. It will also present them with an Other Designation text box where they can type in their desired Designation. This value will be saved to Soapbox but will not be visible to donors.
- Click Save
If you wish, you may wish to include the selected Designation and Other Designation value as merge fields in the confirmation email sent to a Fundraiser on page creation. For more details, see Sending a confirmation email to fundraisers when they create their Fundraising Page.
