Understanding how to connect Soapbox to Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud vs. other versions of Salesforce

For Soapbox Engage instances integrating the Donations app with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Soapbox user the OAuth authentication method. This method allows the Salesforce user whose account is to be used for the integration to login as they normally would to Salesforce when establishing the connection between Salesforce and Soapbox.

This connection is made using the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Settings module on the Soapbox Engage Control Panel.

Alternatively, Soapbox can connect to a Salesforce method using the username, password, and security token associated with a Salesforce user. This method is used for all other Salesforce integrations outside of the Donations app.
