What are the current limitations of the integration between the Donations app and Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud?

The Donations app sends one-time donations, initial recurring donations and subsequent recurring donations processed through Soapbox to Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud.

For a recurring donation, Soapbox creates the Gift Commitment and its Gift Commitment Schedule when the initial donation is processed. Soapbox does not update them afterwards:

• If a logged in donor changes the amount of their recurring donation on the My Transactions view, the Gift Commitment and Gift Commitment Schedule keep the original amount. Gift Transactions for later payments are recorded at the amount actually charged.
• If a recurring donation is canceled, its Gift Commitment stays Active in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud.

To keep them current, update the Gift Commitment in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud after a donor changes or cancels a recurring donation.
