Preparing Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud for integration with Soapbox

Beyond connecting Soapbox to your Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud account, to ensure that Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud is ready to successfully receive donation data from Soapbox, you will want to confirm you have active duplicate matching rules for both the Accounts and Person Accounts for donor matching.

To enable standard duplicate and matching rules:

  1. In Salesforce, go to Setup
  2. In the Quick Find box on the left, search for “Matching rules” in the Duplicate Management section
  3. Click on “Activate” next to the “Standard Account Matching Rule.”
  4. Click on “Activate” next to the “Standard Person Account Matching Rule.”
  5. In the same Quick Find box, search for "Duplicate Rules" in the same Duplicate Management section
  6. Click on the "Standard Account Duplicate Rule"
  7. On the page that opens, click the “Activate” button
  8. Return to the Duplicate Rules view
  9. Click on the "Standard Person Account Duplicate Rule"
  10. On the page that opens, click the “Activate” button
  11. In the Quick Find box on the left, search for “Fundraising Settings” and click on the result
  12. Scroll down to the Donor Matching section
  13. Confirm that Donor Matching Method is set to Duplicate Matching Rules. If it is not, select this value.
