November updates across the Soapbox platform

During November, we've made a number of updates across the Soapbox platform to improve both the administrator and front-end user experience.

Directories app

  • Allow the administrator to customize the text of the edit button on the List Display and Record Display views of a Directory
  • Updated the map inset functionality for the Record Display view to use the new Google Maps API
  • Resolved issues with the print and PDF icons output for Directories when a site is using the Soapbox Engage default template

Donations app

  • Updated Donations in support of planned future releases that will create additional fraud protection tools and Donation form performance metrics

Events app

  • Added the ability to hide Salesforce errors from appearing on the registration confirmation view by default for all events or on an event-by-event basis
  • Added "Today's Events" to the Date drop down of the Event Manager
  • Enhanced or resolved issues with a number of elements to the user experience of the Event Manager filter

Mapper add on

  • Updated the mapper search, category, and location detail views on the front end to use the new Google Maps API
  • Updated the add and edit location view in the administrator to use the new Google Maps API for geocoding locations
  • Updated the CSV location upload feature in the administrator to use the new Google Maps API for geocoding locations
