Understanding how Soapbox records tribute gifts in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud

If you have integrated a Donations app page with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and enabled dedications for the page, Soapbox will create a Gift Tribute record in Nonprofit Cloud for a one-time donation or the initial recurring donation. This occurs if the donor includes tribute information during the donation process.

This Gift Tribute record will be associated with the Gift Transaction creation in Nonprofit Cloud as well as the Gift Commitment record, if it is a recurring donation.

Values from the dedication fields in Soapbox are mapped to the Gift Tribute record as follows:

Will a Notification Contact be created and added to the Gift Tribute record?

No. Soapbox records the first name, last name, and email address of the notification contact to the Gift Tribute record, but it does not create a new Person Account or populate the Notification Contact field with an existing Person Account.

You can do so manually or by creating an automation in Salesforce.

Will the notification contact be notified automatically?

No. Neither Soapbox nor Salesforce automatically sends a message to the notification contact. You can do so manually or by creating an automation in Salesforce using the details saved to the Gift Tribute record.
