Introducing Gift Designations for Donations – Soapbox Support Center

We’re excited to introduce gift designations to the Soapbox Engage Donations app, a new feature that gives donors more choice and nonprofits more control.

With this release, you can now add a designation field to your donation forms, allowing donors to direct their gifts to a specific program, campaign, or fund—all with blazing speed and ease, even if you offer hundreds of designations.

Empower Donors to Give with Purpose

Gift designations give your supporters the ability to direct their donation to what matters most to them, whether that’s a particular fund, project, or department.

The designation search is fast, scalable, and intuitive, making it easy for donors to quickly find their preferred designation. A frictionless, purposeful giving experience encourages follow-through and larger gifts.

Flexible for Your Team’s Needs

CRM Integration or Standalone Use: Whether or not your organization integrates Soapbox Engage with a CRM, designations can enhance your giving forms.
Map to General Accounting Units (GAUs): For Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) users, designations can be directly mapped to General Accounting Units (GAUs), making it easier to track restricted funds and honor donor intent in Salesforce.
Future Integrations Coming: Integration with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and Microsoft Dynamics is coming soon.

Streamlined Setup for Administrators

Set a Default Designation: Pre-select a designation for donors who choose not to select one.
Organize with Designation Groups: Keep your designations organized by category, fund type, initiative, or department when presenting them to donors.
Customize the Display: Control the order of both designation groups and individual designations to prioritize what’s most relevant and make things easy to find.
