With the Donations app, you can create custom Designations to give your supporters specific options for where their contribution should be directed. These Designations can then be assigned to donation pages and grouped for easier selection on the front-end.
To create a Designation:
- In the administrator, navigate to Donations > Designations
- Click the New button in the top-right corner from the toolbar menu.
- In the Add Designation modal, complete the following fields:
- Name (required):
This is the name that will appear to supporters on the donation form.
- Code (optional):
Internal code used for integrations or reporting.
- External Id (optional):
Enter the record Id of the GAU in the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack that corresponds with this Designations
- Designation Category (optional):
Categories are used to group related designations for internal use and organization.
- Publish (optional):
By default it is set to "Yes" if you want the designation to be selectable on donation pages.
- Description (optional):
Future public-facing description of the designation. This Description will be shown to donors on the Donations app page. It is not currently displayed.
- Name (required):
- Click on Save button to add Designation or Cancel to exit without saving.
