When using a Fundraising Live Display at an event, you can control whether offline donations appear in the donor stream, and the display automatically handles donors who have chosen to remain anonymous.
Displaying offline donations
Offline donations are any transactions entered manually in the Donations app — for example, to record a check and cash payment received at an event. Because the donor stream is designed to show real-time online donations, manually entered transactions are excluded from the stream by default. To include offline donations in the donor stream, you must enable this setting on each Donation page linked to the display.
To enable offline donations on a Donation page:
- Open the Donations app in the administrator.
- Click the title of the Donation page linked to your Live Display.
- Click the Integration tab.
- In the Donation Stream Widget section, for Display Offline Donations, select Yes.
- Click Save.
Note: This setting must be enabled on each Donation page linked to the Live Display. Donations manually entered before enabling this setting will appear in the donor stream once the setting is saved.
Displaying anonymous donations
When a donor selects the option to remain anonymous while submitting a donation online, the Fundraising Live Display automatically shows Anonymous in place of the donor's name in the donor stream. The donation amount is still displayed. No configuration is required.
