When a fundraiser creates a Fundraising Page for a peer-to-peer campaign, they choose a Link for it. The Link is the last part of the web address supporters use to reach that page, and it appears beneath the campaign's own address. A fundraiser who chooses a Link of "jane-smith-2026" gets a page at an address ending in "/jane-smith-2026".
A Link may contain letters, numbers, underscores and hyphens. Letters may be uppercase or lowercase. Spaces, periods, slashes and other punctuation are not accepted, and the field cannot be left empty.
Each Link must also be unique within its campaign. Two fundraisers on the same campaign cannot use the same Link, but the same Link may be used by fundraisers on two different campaigns.
If a fundraiser enters a Link that is not accepted, the form tells them so and does not save the page until the Link is corrected.
Note: The web address is case sensitive. A supporter who types the address with different capitalization than the fundraiser chose may not reach the page. When you share a Fundraising Page address, copy it exactly as it appears rather than retyping it.
Who can change the Link
The fundraiser chooses the Link when creating their page and can change it afterward from their own Fundraising Page at any time.
Administrators cannot change the Link for a Fundraising Page. The administrator view shows the page's address so you can open and check it, but the Link itself is not editable there. If a fundraiser needs their Link changed, ask them to edit their own page.
Important: Changing a Link changes the page's web address. Any address a fundraiser has already shared with supporters, in email or on social media, will no longer reach the page. Advise fundraisers to settle on a Link before they begin promoting their page.
