Using the Home screen

updated

The Home screen is what your team sees when they open the app. It is built around one question — what is happening right now — so a volunteer who has never used the app can start work without being told where to tap.

What is on it

Your current event and auction. If an event or an auction is running, or is coming up shortly, it appears as a card at the top. Tapping the card opens that specific event or auction, not just the tab it lives in, so a spotter reaches the right auction in one tap.

Three quick actions.

Action Opens
Take a donation A new donation
Check in guests The check-in screen
Sell products The point of sale

The actions your team sees depend on which apps your account has. A site without the Shop app has no Sell products action.

When nothing is running

If there is no active or upcoming event, Home says No active event and offers View all events. If there is no live auction, it says No active auction and offers View all auctions. Tapping through shows everything scheduled, so a team setting up the day before can still find what they need.

Note: An event only appears on Home when it is close enough to be relevant. If a team cannot find next month's event on Home, that is expected — tap View all events.

The Events and Auctions sections

Below the quick actions, Home lists your events and auctions with their dates. Live auctions are marked, and events happening today are flagged, so a team working a multi-day programme can tell at a glance which one is theirs.

Profile

The Profile tab is always available, whatever apps your account has. It holds passkeys, appearance, haptic feedback, the option to install the app to the home screen, and sign out.
