Soapbox Engage sites can use either our standard template which admins can modify as they wish to meet their branding needs or a custom template coded by the Soapbox team to match their main site. Sites may also have multiple standard or custom templates with one serving as the default and the others available to be applied to individual pages. While a site could have multiple templates, up until now, it couldn’t use both standard and custom templates. Whichever type of template was the default would be the only type of template individual pages could have applied to them.
With this release, that has changed! You can now use either custom or standard templates on your Soapbox Engage site regardless of which type of template is used as the default.
This now allows a site with a custom template as its default to use the Template Designer to create and apply templates to individual pages. This is ideal for admins that may wish to create a template for a specific purpose such as a Giving Tuesday fundraising Donation page or a end-of-the-year gala event.
Alternatively, this allows admins that use the standard template to request a custom template to be coded by the Soapbox team to be used on specific pages on their site.
Happy Soapboxing!
