Setting recurring upsell ranges to convert one-time donors to recurring donors

With the Donations app, you have the ability to prompt visitors to change their one-time donation to a recurring monthly donation when they click the submit button on a Donation page.

To use this feature, you must first create the recurring upsell ranges in the Configuration of the Donations app to associate a range of one-time amounts with a specific monthly amount for the recurring prompt.

To create recurring upsell ranges:

• Open the Configuration for the Donations app
• Click the Recurring Upsell tab
• In the Recurring Upsell section, click Add
• For the Upsell Amount, enter the value of the monthly donation you wish to suggest to the donor
• For Minimum Donation Amount, enter the lowest amount of the range that will trigger this upsell amount
• For Maximum Donation Amount, enter the largest amount of the range that will trigger this upsell amount
• Click Save
• Repeat for each recurring upsell range you wish to create

Once you have created recurring upsell ranges, you can enable the recurring upsell feature for any Donation forms you wish.

Guidance on creating ranges

1. Ranges cannot overlap
2. Set each subsequent Minimum Donation Amount to be 0.01 more than the previous range's Maximum Donation Amount if you do not wish to have a gap between ranges
3. You should determine a lower end below which you will not prompt the donor to convert to a monthly subscription (e..g, $5)
4. You should determine an upper end above which you will not prompt the donor to convert to a monthly subscription (e..g, $499.99)

5. Upsell Amount: 25, Minimum Donation Amount: 200, Maximum Donation Amount: 249.99
6. Upsell Amount: 30, Minimum Donation Amount: 250, Maximum Donation Amount: 349.99
