Change Your Name for Your Administrator Account

The Name as set in your administrator user account is used for a number of purposes within the administrator as well as the front end of your site. It is shown as the Author for articles and other content created by you throughout Soapbox. It can be used to filter the articles in the Article Manager to search for articles you created. It also populates the Author tag in the HTML code of web pages for articles you created. This Author tag is used by services like Facebook when the page is shared over their social networks.

To change the Name of your user account:

  • In the administrator, go to the User Manager
  • Click on your user name in the Profile column
  • For Name, enter in the new name you wish to be associated with your user account
  • Click Save
