If your site has a password-protected area and its users are connected to Salesforce Contact records in your Salesforce instance, you can ensure data integrity for the Leads created and converted for Soapbox Donations by choosing to disable a logged in user's ability to edit their Contact Fields. This will mean the First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and (if you enable it) Organization fields which will be autofilled with the logged in user's information stored in Salesforce will not be editable by that user. The appearance of these fields will also be altered slightly to denote that this is intentional.
Disabling the editing of these contact fields for logged in users will not affect anonymous users. Anonymous users will still be able to enter their First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and (if you enable it) Organization information.
To disable edit ability for logged in users:
- Open the Soapbox Donation form for which you wish to disable editing
- Click the Contact Info tab
- For Restrict Contact Field Edit, choose Yes
- Click Save
