Identifying Terms to be used by Soapbox Events


If your site has the Soapbox CMS (Does my site have the Soapbox CMS?), for Soapbox Events, you can use Taxonomy to categorize events using terms you create. These terms can be used to filter Upcoming Events modules, menu items, and calendars.

If you wish, you can restrict which Terms can be applied to an event in the event edit view by identifying a single parent term. If selected, only the child terms of that parent will be available to administrators when they add or edit an event. This will also limit the terms appearing in the filter on a calendar menu item, if you choose to display the Terms Filter for that menu item.

To select a parent term for Soapbox Events:

  • Go to the Events Manager
  • Go > Configuration
  • Click the Terms tab
  • For Terms, click Select Term
  • Choose a term in the popup and click Save
  • Click Save
