What are best practices in managing old event data in the Events app?

updated

Once an event has been completed by your organization, you may wonder what you should do with that data in Soapbox Engage's Events app.  Here's a few recommendations from our team regarding best practices in data management.

  1. Keep your event data in Soapbox Engage, there's no need to delete old events if you don't want to, and there's likely good data for you to have at your fingertips in the future
  2. Keep your event data in Salesforce, as unless you're running against a significant data storage issue there, there's no need to delete that valuable data either
  3. All old events continue to be stored within Soapbox Engage, and will appear as past events if you're displaying them in a calendar and haven't unpublished them

Happy eventing!
