Showing or hiding tickets above a visitor's access level on the Event Details page

updated

With Soapbox Events, you can choose to show or hide tickets above a visitor's access level when they view the Event Details page. Regardless of your choice, tickets above a visitor's access level will not appear on the registration view and will not be available for them to use when registering.

To set visibility for an individual event:

  1. Open the Soapbox Event for which you wish to set ticket visibility
  2. Click the Edit tab
  3. In the right column, click Parameters (View) to open the module
  4. For Enable Access Filter:
    1. Choose Use Global Config, if you wish to have this event's behavior determined by the global setting under Events > Configuration. This is the recommended setting. See below to view and edit the access filter in the Events Configuration.
    2. Choose Yes to hide tickets above the visitor's access level on the event detail view. Choosing this value affects this event only and will mean the access filter parameter in the Events Configuration will no longer apply to this event.
    3. Choose No to display tickets above the visitor's access level on the event detail view. These will not be displayed or available on the registration view. Choosing this value affects this event only and will mean the access filter parameter in the Events Configuration will no longer apply to this event.

To view and edit the access filter default for all events in the Events Configuration:

  1. In the Soapbox Events administrator menu, click Events
  2. Click Configuration
  3. On the Tickets tab under Setup, choose either Yes or No for Enable Access Filter. If you choose Yes, tickets above the visitor's access level will not be shown on the event detail view. If you choose No, tickets above the visitor's access level will be shown on the event detail view but not displayed or available on the registration view.

NOTE: If an event has been set to Yes or No for Enable Access Filter rather than Use Global Config will not be affected by the Configuration setting.
  4. Click Save
