Why is the send rate for emails in a given Campaign slower than normal?

There are several factors at play that affect speed in the sending of email through Soapbox Mailer. A big one is the load on the Salesforce node your instance occupies. If it's higher than normal, that can reduce the speed at which Salesforce sends the data to Amazon which will subsequently reduce the speed at which Amazon can send the emails.
