Boost recurring donations this giving season with the new upsell prompt!In the Shop app, you can charge a handling fee for any order processed through the Shop shopping cart that contains shippable products.
To do so, you must first create a Product in Salesforce with which to associate the handling fee and add that product to a Salesforce Pricebook.
After that is done, you can create the handling fee for Shop shopping cart orders with shippable products as follows:
- Open the Configuration for the Shop app
- Click the Shipping & Handling tab
- Go to the Handling section
- For Enable Handling Fee, select Yes or No, depending on whether you wish to assess a handling fee
- For Handling Fee Amount, enter the amount to be added to the order for the handling fee for Shop shopping cart orders with shippable products
- For Handling Title, enter a title you wish to display for the handling fee line item. This text will appear in the Order Summary at the bottom of the Shop shopping cart as well as in the product list in order confirmation emails and thank you pages when the {products} variable is used.
- For Shipping Pricebookentry, click Select, find the Pricebook Entry of the shipping Product you created in Salesforce, tick the checkbox and click Save
- Click Save
