Editing attendee information for a Reservation in the Events app

updated

In the Events app, you can edit details for each attendee on the Reservation detail view, the Ticket detail view, and the event's Tickets tab. Edits are saved in Soapbox. For an event integrated with Salesforce, they also update the ticket's record in Salesforce. Edits are not sent to Microsoft Dynamics.

To edit attendee information:

  1. Open the Reservation detail view that contains the attendee information.
  2. On the Reservation detail view, scroll down to the Ticket Information section.
  3. Locate the ticket you wish to edit and click the Edit button in the Action column to the right. You may also click the View button in the Action column and then the Edit button on the full Ticket detail view.
  4. In the popup, alter the values you wish to change for this attendee.
  5. Click Save.

Which fields the window shows

The Edit Ticket window always shows First Name, Last Name and Email. It shows each other standard field, such as Organization or Mobile Phone, when the event's Ticket Info tab sets that field to Show, or when the ticket already has a value in it. Custom questions for the ticket's type appear below the standard fields.

What happens when you save

  • If the event is integrated with Salesforce and the update doesn't go through, the window stays open and says Your changes were saved, but Salesforce could not be updated. The change is saved in Soapbox.
  • If the event is linked to an auction and the ticket holder is a bidder, changing the name or email asks what to do with the bidder first. See What happens to a bidder when you edit a guest's ticket.
  • Changing the email address changes where the event's scheduled emails go for this ticket. It doesn't update a Zoom registrant.

You can also edit a ticket from the event's Tickets tab. See Viewing and managing tickets on the Tickets tab of an Event.
