How to modify design elements on a Donations app page

updated

The Donations app provides a wide variety of options to control the content and functional elements on a donation page.  Additionally, a Soapbox Engage template (either standard or custom), provides the design of elements (sometimes known as "chrome") to the functional elements on the page.  In certain cases, an administrator may want to change the design of elements on the page.

Modifications to the design elements of a Donations app page can be done in two ways, depending on the type of template used by the page.

Custom template design modifications

If the Soapbox Engage account is using a custom template (a template designed by Soapbox Engage's professional services team to match an existing website design), only Soapbox Engage's professional services team can implement modifications to the page.  Please create a ticket for our support team to lend a hand, and provide the following details.

  1. URL of the page in question
  2. Specific changes to be made

Standard template design modifications

If the Soapbox Engage account is using a standard template (a template managed and designed by the administrator using the Template Designer in Soapbox Engage), an administrator can update the design using the Template Designer.  Typically, these modifications are implemented using the Custom CSS functionality.
