The Events Manager lists every event in your account. Soapbox Engage checks an event out to the administrator who opens it, so that two people do not change the same event's settings at the same time. An event that is checked out shows a padlock icon in the Events Manager.
A checked-out event can still be opened. Another administrator can work in its Summary, Reservations and Tickets tabs, including checking guests in. The other tabs are read-only until the administrator who is editing the event saves or closes it. See Why is an Event read-only when I open it?
To change the settings of an event that is checked out, first ask the administrator who is editing it to click Save or Cancel. If they can't be reached, an administrator can globally check in all checked-out items in a Soapbox Engage account:
- Log in to the Soapbox Engage administrator.
- In the upper right, click the gear icon and click "Global Check-in".
- Go to the Events app and confirm the event no longer has a padlock. When you open it, the toolbar has Save, Apply and Cancel, and no notice names another administrator.
Important: Use this only when you are sure the other administrator has finished. If they are still editing and someone else then opens the event, their next save is refused and their unsaved changes have to be made again.
