Sometimes, visitors may want to make donations during the event registration process when they do not intend to purchase tickets for the event. In this article, we will clarify the current functionality and provide guidance on how to facilitate donations separately in such cases.
The Events app is designed to simplify event registration for nonprofits and organizations. It allows you to efficiently manage event details, ticket sales, and attendee information. However, it's important to note that, as of the current configuration, the optional donation section within the event registration process is linked exclusively to the purchase of tickets (including free tickets) at the time of registration.
If a visitor arrives at the event registration page but decides not to attend the event while still wishing to make a donation, they will not be able to utilize the optional donation section within the event registration form. This section is specifically integrated with ticket purchases during the registration process.
To enable donations from visitors who are not purchasing event tickets during registration, consider guiding them to use a Donations app page separately.
