Can Salesforce record types other than those provided by Soapbox Engage's Donations app be used?

Automations for Soapbox Engage's Donations app (both one-time and recurring donations) look for specific Salesforce record types created by Soapbox Engage to determine if a record should be modified or used in situations like lead conversion. For this reason, Soapbox Engage's automations only work when using it's own Salesforce record types at the time of transaction.

If absolutely necessary, Salesforce record types can be modified after the records are created, either manually by a user or via automation; however, creating automation to change record types may present unknown implications outside the scope of Soapbox Engage's support services.
