Summary
Soapbox Engage is thrilled to announce the latest update to the Donations app which introduces a new way to save transaction data from the Donations app to Salesforce. Currently, all Donation app pages with Salesforce integration enabled post data to Salesforce in real-time, immediately after the transaction is processed and prior to displaying the confirmation page to the visitor. This approach places the priority on immediate transmission of data to Salesforce but requires a brief amount of time for Salesforce to respond to Soapbox’s request.
With the latest update, administrators can now enable asynchronous posting of Donations app data to Salesforce. This allows for a faster end-user experience with the confirmation page shown to the donor immediately and data sent to Salesforce afterward as part of a queue. This queue runs every 30 minutes on the half-hour mark with the status of a given transaction displayed in the Transaction detail view.
This feature can be enabled by default for all Donations app pages within the Donations > Configuration or on a Donation app page by page basis.
To enable this feature by default, open the Configuration for the Donations app, click the Integrations tab, set Enable Asynchronous Posting to Salesforce in the Salesforce section to Yes, and click Save.
To enable this feature for a specific Donations app page, open the Donation form for which you wish to enable it , click the Integrations tab, set Enable Asynchronous Posting to Salesforce in the Salesforce section to Yes, and click Save.
These enhancements will ensure faster and more efficient transaction processing.
Happy Soapboxing!
