Setting maximum character length for Custom Salesforce Element text area fields on a Donations app page

If your site has Salesforce integration enabled to connect it to your Salesforce instance, you can include fields of your choice from the Lead object in Salesforce in the Contact Information form section of a Donation app page.

If you include a text area field from Salesforce, you can set a maximum length for the front-end user's submission.

To do so:

• Open the Donation form for which you wish to set a Maximum Length value for a text area field
• Click the Contact Info tab
• Scroll down to the Custom Salesforce Fields section
• Click the edit icon for the text are field
• For Maximum Length, enter a positive integer for the maximum number of characters allowed for this field
• Click Save
• Click Save on the main add/edit Donation view
