Setting maximum character length for Custom Salesforce Element text area fields on the Contact Information section of an Event registration form

If your site has Salesforce integration enabled to connect it to your Salesforce instance, you can include fields of your choice from the Lead object in Salesforce in the Contact Information form section of an Event registration form.

If you include a text area field from Salesforce, you can set a maximum length for the front-end user's submission.

To do so:

  • Open the Event to which you wish to add your custom field
  • Click the Reservation Info tab
  • Scroll down to the Custom Salesforce Fields section
  • Click the edit icon for the text area field
  • For Maximum Length, enter a positive integer for the maximum number of characters allowed for this field
  • Click Save
  • Click Save on the main add/edit Event view
