Upgrading Soapbox Mailer to Salesforce Guest Site User Updates in Winter 21

Starting October 10, 2020, many Salesforce orgs may have been impacted by a Salesforce restriction that no longer allows the Guest Site User to edit records.  Starting with Soapbox Mailer v1.13, Soapbox Mailer supports this new security policy.

IMPORTANT:  If your organization does not have at least Soapbox Mailer v1.13, you must do the following.

1. Create a new sharing rules for Leads, Accounts and Campaigns
2. Upgrade to at least Soapbox Mailer v1.13

Create new sharing rules for Leads, Accounts and Campaigns

1. Login to Salesforce
2. Go to Setup > Quick Find search for "Sharing Settings"
3. On the Sharing Settings page, go to the "Lead Sharing Rules" section on the page, and click the New button
4. On the Lead Sharing Rule page, enter the following information
   1. Label = Soapbox Mailer Read
   2. Rule Name = Soapbox_Mailer_Read
   3. Rule Type = Guest user access, based on criteria
   4. Criteria = Field: Company, Operator: not equal to, Value: "!@#$"
   5. Share with = Soapbox Mailer Email Tracking Site Guest User
   6. Lead Access = Read Only
5. Click the Save button
6. On the Sharing Settings page, go to the "Account Sharing Rules" section on the page, and click the New button
7. On the Account Sharing Rule page, enter the following information
   1. Label = Soapbox Mailer Read
   2. Rule Name = Soapbox_Mailer_Read
   3. Rule Type = Guest user access, based on criteria
   4. Criteria = Field: Account Name, Operator: not equal to, Value: "!@#$"
   5. Share with = Soapbox Mailer Email Tracking Site Guest User
   6. Default Account, Contract and Asset Access = Read Only
8. Click the Save button
9. On the Sharing Settings page, go to the "Campaign Sharing Rules" section on the page, and click the New button
10. On the Campaign Sharing Rule page, enter the following information
    1. Label = Soapbox Mailer Read
    2. Rule Name = Soapbox_Mailer_Read
    3. Rule Type = Guest user access, based on criteria
    4. Criteria = Field: Campaign Name, Operator: not equal to, Value: "!@#$"
    5. Share with = Soapbox Mailer Email Tracking Site Guest User
    6. Campaign Access = Read Only
11. Click the Save button

Upgrade to at least Soapbox Mailer v1.14

1. Install the latest version of Soapbox Mailer from the AppExchange listing
